Like a true partisan career politician, Thomas Nelson refuses to acknowledge ObamaCare’s blatant failures that have left Wisconsinites with skyrocketing premium costs and dropped coverage.
In an egregious act of government overreach, it was just announced today that the Obama Administration will begin choosing health care plans FOR displaced consumers, despite ObamaCare being the reason they have no health insurance options in the first place.
Even President Bill Clinton slammed ObamaCare this week calling it crazy and unworkable. But as usual, Thomas Nelson is silent on the issue.
Just look the abysmal failures of the law:
- The number of uninsured was supposed to decline from 50 million to 21 million under ObamaCare. Instead, there are still 31 million people uninsured.
- Numerous states have lost more than 80% of their insurers
- Some premiums have risen by nearly 40% over the last year
- ObamaCare is projected to result in an additional $274 billion in administrative costs alone from 2014 through 2022.
Nelson’s strong support for ObamaCare demonstrates his inability to find viable solutions to the very real and complex issues, like health care coverage, facing Wisconsinites. The voters of Northeast Wisconsin deserve better than career politicians like Thomas Nelson who support a law that unfairly leaves the American public in the vulnerable position of being victims of an inflated and overpowered federal government.
Background: The Associated Press reported that while speaking at a rally in Flint, Michigan this week, President Bill Clinton blasted President Obama’s health care law, saying “You’ve got this crazy system where all the sudden 25 million more people have healthcare and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half.” Since launching his campaign in April, Nelson has been silent on nearly every issue including this one, leaving voters with little information about his candidacy. Meanwhile, Mike Gallagher routinely releases statements to the public.
